Referencing my architectural heritage, I am now working on a series of paintings that illustrate my ideas regarding architecture and space. These ideas are the core of all work completed in my 60 year career as an artist. In the tradition of Hieronymus Bosch, William Blake, Odilon Redon, Antoni Gaudi, Gustav Klimt, and Bruce Goff - architect (mentor), I introduce my architectural theory paintings. These works express the context around architectural space. To fully appreciate the work it is important to understand the underlying theory of architecture as stated by Le Corbusier: “Architecture is the learned game, correct and magnificent, of forms assembled in the light.” Architectural space is the moment of conception. My paintings are a lens into the space-time continuum. NOTE: Click image to enlarge with painting sizes
